  1. Congratulations on yet another feather in your cap 🙂

    1. Thank you. So far, I like it, but we shall see how things go in the longer run. I hope you are doing well.

  2. Nice one, Dale – good luck with that. Have to admit I’ve never heard of Substack. I must browse and find out mure.

    Stay well, mon ami.

    1. Hi Bob, and thank you. Mostly Substack is used by authors (many are well known) as an independent platform which is not subject to censorship by the platform itself. It is basically a platform through which authors sell private subscriptions to their own audiences and pay Substack 10% when they do monetize. But an author, such as myself, can offer free subscriptions, without having to pay Substack for the service, and build an audience from the ground up. This is what I hope to do by providing lots of writing samples to whomever will read them. I was inspired by one Substacker I read who, this week, posted an article on how he built an audience from zero to 30k in just under a year. Basically, I’m putting my book out there, a little chunk at a time, hoping to gain a readership. I understand that Substack does have international reach, meaning there are Substacks in others countries, serving writers in those countries. But I’m only beginning to learn about the platform myself, so I don’t know all of the ins and outs yet. I will happily pass along whatever I learn. I hope you are doing well.

      1. Interesting idea, Sale – I hope it works out for you! Please do keep us posted, I’d be interested to see how it goes for you. In the meantime I’ll do a bit of research myself…. Thanks for the tip.

I’m all good thanks, my health is improving by the day after my cancer, and I had a hospital check this week: the doctors are very pleased with my progress, back for another one in late June. Basically I’m clear, but normal practice is for four such check ups in the first year. Enjoying my life and health!

Not sure if you’ve seen it yet, but I posted a new – and probably controversial! – blog here a day or so ago…. I’d value your commentary.

Have a Happy Easter, my friend!

        1. No, I haven’t seen the new blog post, but I’ll look for it and write a comment. Thank you, Bob, for telling me. I’m very happy to hear you are enjoying life and health and having a complete recovery from cancer. Blessings, my friend. And you have a Happy Easter, too.
