Progress Report

November 4, 2023November 4, 2023 — Posted inArt, Painting — 1 min read

A couple of weeks ago, I posted that I wanted to begin painting again.  I used to paint a lot but in acrylics and most of my work then was semiabstract in terms of subject matter.  But I got an urge to paint again, […]

Today’s Rambling — Painting

September 26, 2023October 1, 2023 — Posted inArt — 2 min read

About fifteen years ago, I was a painter.  I lived in the Northwest at that time and made semiabstract paintings which I sold to, mostly, a limited number of collectors that I knew.  I never sold enough work to live on my painting alone, […]

Thoughts On the eBook Journey

July 21, 2022July 23, 2022 — Posted inArt, Literature, Productivity — 3 min read

Mid-October, last year, I “finished” my novel.  I had final edited it—the entire book—and believed the work was in its final form.  So, at that time, I began looking for a literary agent.  Of course, before that, I had done some research into Literary […]

Coffee Shop Discussions

July 16, 2022August 5, 2022 — Posted inArt, Honest Dialogue — 3 min read

One thing I miss and that I used to enjoy a great deal was meeting a couple of friends at the coffee shop or the quirky bar for a discussion about Art.  As a painter and living in a town where I knew more […]

About me

Dale Tucker is a writer of literary fiction who enjoys solitude, nature, and cooking. His subject matter falls within the shared experiences, moral sensitivities, spirituality and hopes of common American people. These characteristics are, of course, broad in range and universal in some aspects but they are also, in other ways, unique to Americans. Tucker's aim is to elevate the heroism of the under- and working classes to the the position it deserves. Every day there are miracles performed by mothers and grandmothers, fathers and brothers, and by a myriad of invisible individuals who model bravery and exceptionality of character to those who know them. These are those Tucker chooses to write about, not the celebrated and "great".
